About Gita Arbabi
My name is Gita and I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with a consulting room in Dalston, Hackney (E8)
I specialise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which focuses on deep-rooted issues that may have their origins in your past.
I work as a counsellor and therapist in private practice, Dalston,Hackney E8. I have worked for NHS Homerton Hospital as a psychotherapist.
I have experience of working with a diverse range of people in the voluntary sector, the NHS and in private sector.
I have worked with people from a variety of different backgrounds and suffering from different psychological issues such as depression, chronic fatigue, anxiety and panic attacks, addiction, sexual abuse, trauma, grief and bereavement.
I have also volunteered for the Samaritans providing emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress, despair or suicidal thoughts.
I trained at WPF, one of the leading training centres for psychotherapists in the country.
I hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice from Roehampton University.
I also have a BSc in Psychology and have done a great deal of research on human behaviour and mental health.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethics, standards, and practices.
